About

Hillary Tinapple is a Certified Massage Therapist whose experience includes both clients with a variety of health issues and those with none at all. She believes that body awareness is essential for optimal living.

Hillary was born in Columbus, Ohio where she received an undergraduate degree in media studies. She came to the health profession from her own personal healing journey that began at age 23 with strong dreams and countless “coincidences” leading her to this work.

At the age of 30, after studying holistic health in San Diego, she became fascinated by subtle, soft tissue bodywork techniques, traditional eastern notions of well-being, and other modalities leading her to CranioSacral Therapy. (What is CranioSacral Therapy?)

Education and Certification

With a Bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University, Hillary entered the School of Healing Arts 1000-hour Holistic Health Practitioner program in 2009. She has trained nationally with the Upledger Institute in CranioSacral Therapy and continues her studies to enrich her mind and fuel her passion.

Hillary currently holds a license with the California Massage Therapy Council (#3650) and is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Other Projects

As a consultant Hillary has played an integral role in the 5-year initial development phase of the Social Work Hospice & Palliative Care Network, a non-profit organization to support social work professionals in caring for the seriously ill, dying and bereaved.

Also an ordained Peace Minister with the Beloved Community — striving to honor all paths to divine peace — and a Reiki Level II Practitioner in the Usui Western lineage, Hillary’s personal practice includes meditation, bicycle rides, and healthy foods.
